AmaMaya (Debuting on January 4, 2027) will be a deluxe vessel with a layout similar to the AmaDara and with 100% of the accommodation featuring step-out balconies. All 60 staterooms will be beautifully appointed with deluxe amenities including luxurious linens and mattresses, a desk, a sitting area, Satellite TV, individual temperature control, safe deposit box, complimentary WiFi and much more. The vessel will feature two restaurants, an elegant lounge and bar area, a spacious Sun Deck with an al fresco bar with seating, lounge chairs for total relaxation and an outdoor pool for a refreshing dip after the daily excursion program. There will be rooms for massages and beauty treatments such as facials, manicure, and pedicure as well as a fitness room, a sauna, and a gift shop. Passports and Visas
It is each traveler's responsibility to have a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond the dates of travel and acquire a visa if required.
Accessibility
Shore excursions and the Bangkok extension require a moderate-to-challenging amount of walking and sites may have steps and/or uneven terrain. The embarkation/disembarkation points between ship and shore may not be able to accommodate guests with mobility issues. Kindly note that the vessel is not equipped with an elevator.
Dietary Requirements and Food Allergies
Please let us know prior to your departure if you have any special dietary requirements (e.g. vegan, diabetic, gluten-free, etc.). The food preparation areas of the ship is not conducive to preparing meals without some sort of cross-contamination including, but not limited to, exposure to nuts and gluten.
Minimum Age
Guests must be at least 12 years of age at the time of sailing. Children under 18 must share a stateroom with an adult and remain supervised at all times, as balcony staterooms may be unsafe for unattended minors. AmaWaterways does not provide child-specific programs or childcare services.

Day 1
Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City! Check into your hotel, The Reverie, our home for the next 3 nights.
Day 2
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a morning of leisure (perhaps visiting a nearby tailor for a bespoke clothes fitting). Afterwards, we'll explore the flavors and techniques of Vietnamese cuisine at a Flavors of Saigon workshop (a Tasting History exclusive).

Day 3
Our morning city tour will include colonial-era landmarks like the former Presidential Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Central Post Office. A visit to the Cu Chi tunnels offers a powerful perspective on Vietnam’s resilience. We'll have dinner together to celebrate our final night in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 4
In the morning, we'll visit Ben Thanh Market—one of the oldest and most iconic structures in Ho Chi Minh City. Our transfer via motorcoach takes us to My Tho Port to board the AmaMaya. We'll enjoy our Welcome Dinner as the ship cruises to Cai Be.

We'll cruise past the colorful boats and tranquil riverbanks of the Mekong Delta. Local boats will take us to visit workshops, markets and temples in the villages of Cai Be and Sa Dec. Take in the rhythms and vibrant energy that have inspired generations of storytellers. This evening we'll watch the new episode of Tasting History together followed by a Q&A.

Day 6
Tan Chau reveals the gentle rhythms of river life. Take a trishaw ride along quiet streets and watch artisans at work, or glide through the emerald wetlands of Tra Su Forest, where shimmering waters and landscapes create a magical, otherworldly scene. As evening falls, the river promises new discoveries as we cross into Cambodia.

Day 7
Phnom Penh unfolds along the river with elegance and reflection. In the morning, you can choose to see the Killing Fields and former Detention Center of the Red Khmer, or visit the Central Market. In the afternoon, we tour the Royal Palace and the National Museum. Over the next two evenings, everyone will get a chance to experience a unique and refined take on traditional Cambodian cuisine at the Malis Phnom Penh restaurant (a Tasting History exclusive).

Journey to Oudong, where serene plains stretch beneath quiet monasteries. Monks offer a timeless Buddhist Blessing Ceremony, inviting reflection and calm along the river. Return to Phnom Penh where you can choose to take an oxcart ride in Kampong Tralach or a tuk tuk sightseeing city tour.

Drift to Oknhatey, where the river winds past lush banks and riverside workshops. Step into a local school and watch the delicate artistry of silk-making, a cultural treasure carried through generations. In the afternoon, let the river’s gentle current guide you deeper into Cambodia, as vibrant landscapes unfold along the banks. Attend on-board culinary demonstrations of Southeast Asian classic dishes. Form up into teams and compete for fun prizes at the Tasting History trivia night!

Step into the quiet rhythm of Angkor Ban, where stilted wooden houses and enduring traditions remain unchanged by time. Drift through landscapes where ancient ruins meet vibrant pagodas, or gaze upon the rolling forms of the Twin Mountains. The day concludes aboard with a festive Farewell Dinner, as the river glimmers in the evening light.

We disembark in Kampong Cham and journey through Cambodia’s lush countryside to Siem Reap, the gateway to Angkor. Wander among the ivy-clad stones of Ta Prohm, where towering trees intertwine with ancient temple walls, creating a magical blend of nature and history. Our hotel for the next two nights will be the Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra.

We'll begin the day at Angkor Wat, where soaring towers and intricate carvings evoke the grandeur of the Khmer Empire. In the afternoon, explore Banteay Srei, a jewel of artistry with carvings so delicate they seem almost otherworldly. Conclude with an enchanting Apsara dance performance, celebrating Cambodia’s living cultural heritage.

Step into Angkor Thom, the “Great City,” and behold Bayon Temple’s serene stone faces, along with the Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King. Later in the day, bid farewell to Siem Reap as you prepare for your return flight.

Well we have three nights!
Day 1. Arrive in Bangkok and check into your hotel, the Peninsula (or similar class)
Day 2 – This morning, cruise along the small canals (“khlongs”) of Thonburi, gaining a better understanding of why Bangkok is known as “the Venice of the East.” Conclude your morning sightseeing tour with a visit to the imposing Temple of the Dawn, which stands beside the Chao Phraya River and dazzles with a structure composed of millions of fragments of Chinese porcelain. Later, we'll explore Rattanakosin Island, discovering the Old City’s storied streets, temple-side food stalls, and local markets. (B, Food Tour)
Day 3 - Discover the spectacular and centuries-old Grand Palace with its glittering Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The infamous Buddha was chiseled from one block of emerald and is believed to have supernatural powers. Stop at Wat Pho, known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. It houses a school of Thai medicine and is the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. This evening we'll gather for a grand finale Tasting History private dinner. (B, D)
